Based in Doon South, Kitchener and serving families across Waterloo, Cambridge, and the Region — I'm a family photographer, kids and children's photographer, maternity photographer, and portrait photographer specializing in the unscripted magic of real life. I've been behind the lens since 2016 and have had the privilege of documenting over 75 families across Waterloo Region. I speak English, Malayalam, and Tamil fluently. Engineering by day, storytelling by every other moment.
The heart behind the lens
A Quiet Thread
Photography has always been a quiet thread running through my life — even before I realized it. My grandfather owned a small photography studio in a rural village in India. Long before digital cameras and social media, he was preserving memories for families in our community. I didn't know it then, but that legacy was shaping me.
I didn't grow up as "the camera kid." It wasn't until 2016, during a business trip to Germany, that everything changed. On a whim — without really knowing how to use it — I bought my first camera, a Sony A58.
The Intersection of Logic and Light
By day, I navigate the structured world of engineering. By night — and every weekend in between — I'm immersed in the art of storytelling. What started as a deep-dive into the mechanics of optics and light sensors quickly became an obsession. Every session is a collaboration — my wife Jeslin is present at almost every studio shoot, managing lighting, keeping the energy warm, and doing what she does best: getting kids to completely forget there's a camera in the room. Before any session, Jeslin and I sit down together to build a mood board tailored to your family, which we share with you ahead of time so you arrive knowing exactly what to expect.
Capturing the Magic of Childhood
In 2025, I finally decided to take the leap into commercial work. By then, I had discovered what truly lights me up: families and children.
As a father of two young children, I understand kids from the inside — their energy, their unpredictability, their magic. I don't believe in forcing stiff smiles or perfect poses. I love capturing moments as they naturally unfold — the laughter between siblings, the quiet hugs, and the in-between glances that tell real stories. Whether it's a family photography session in a Kitchener park, a kids and children's portrait session in the studio, a maternity session along the Grand River, or a professional headshot for someone building their brand in the Waterloo tech corridor — the goal is always the same: images that feel true.
While candid photography is my heart, I also understand that professional sessions sometimes require gentle direction. I'm constantly learning and refining how to guide families and individuals in a way that still feels natural and true to them.
